Massage in London

After watching so many videos of pro's getting a good old massage, and reading the excellent post over at cyclingtips, last night I went for a sports massage in Hammersmith. Having never been for a deep tissue massage before and suffering from a niggling tight hamstring and calf for about four months now i decided to take a punt on a sports massage after I picked up a card at my local gym.

I emailed Chris at K2 and asked him some newbie questions and he got back to me straight away, informing me that he has worked exstensively with cyclists and runners at a big tri club nearby and that he knew of the problem areas for cyclists.
I had the massage at my gym, the Hammersmith Fitness & Squash Centre, and paid a ridiculously good price of £30 for an hour. Chris has a special promotion he will be running until the summer, basically discounting his usual rates by 50% on account of a lot of his clients being from the banking sector.
I was very relaxed and comfortable and cant speak highly enough of Chris. He worked my quads, hams and calfs hard, and I dont mind admitting I was squealing a bit, but they were so tight I knew it needed to be done. He gave me some stretching and nutrition advice and then shooted the breeze about cycling in general.
After the massage I was a little tender, and riding on my 7 mile commute today I took it fairly easy, but now, 24 hours later my legs are already beginning to feel the benefit.
Overall id really recommend it to anyone who is in London and fancies trying it, because at the discounted rates Chris is doing at the moment its a nice affordable recovery technique to treat yourself to. Details can be found at the website:
